i-card Programs

This text is entered to test text editing for the SitePublish updated scheduled for October 10, 2023. i‑card Programs provides identification devices, UINs, and card-service-related applications and data to the University of Illinois System. Services for students and individual cardholders can be found on icard.uillinois.edu.

We support and oversee the production of all identification devices across the system—not just i‑cards.  Here is a test of adding (then removing) a PDF document link. We are the authoritative source for all identifying device data, including photos and the appearance, encoding, and design. This site focuses on products and services for units, as follows:

• University Identification Numbers documents UIN creation, searches, and policies.
• Department Services lists our applications, data, contactless products, and other, free unit-to-unit services.
• Cards and Badges documents all the ID cards and devices provided by ID Centers or i‑card Programs.
• Policies for Departments explains our oversight in full, and it covers the ownership, requirements, and expectations for units with identification and/or authorization needs.
• Student Banking Program explains our oversight of this program.
